Entry Level Police Officer

The McMinnville Police Department is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Entry-Level Police Officer.
Responsibilities include patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and enforcing laws to ensure public safety. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, complete a certified police academy training program, pass background checks and drug screenings, and possess a valid driver's license. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Lateral Police Officer
$72,768 - $93,000 Annually
Lateral Police Officers perform the same duties as Entry Level Police Officers.
Oregon DPSST certified lateral police officer new hires, with a minimum of thirty-seven (37) months’ experience, are eligible to receive a recruitment signing bonus of $6,000 payable in three installments, as follows:
$2,000 at completion of field training and gaining solo officer status
$2,000 after completion of twelve months continuous service, and
$2,000 after completion of thirty months of continuous, satisfactory service
